Time & Labor Savings
SureWalls eliminates taping and mudding of seams, so an entire step of laborious, time-consuming seam finish is eliminated. All wall joints and corners are complete upon installation. All that's left to do to achieve a high level finish is application of a couple of thin finish coats and you're ready for paint, typically the same day. Poorly finished drywall seams also become a thing of the past. In our own testing using a standard pre-mixed joint compound, we were able to achieve a level 4 finish without the need for any sanding - level 5 being attainable only with further skim coating of the drywall surface, as in standard applications.

Stronger, More Resilient Walls
Walls installed using the SureWalls system are exceptionally strong walls, stronger than those installed by traditional methods and far stronger than walls that become badly "compromised" by resilient channel installation -- the most common method to increase a wall's sound attenuation characteristics. How is that?
Distributed Load Bearing:

Traditional screws: Drywall screws concentrate load at discrete points (typically every 12 to 16 inches apart). These points are where transverse loads are transferred from the drywall to the studs.
Rigid PVC channels: By securing the drywall along its entire edge within a tight-fitting channel, the load is distributed more evenly across the entire edge rather than at specific points. This results in better load distribution, reducing stress concentrations and the likelihood of failure or cracking at specific points.
Strength improvement: This significantly enhances the ability of the wall to resist both shear and transverse load forces.
Increased wall resilience: The ability of drywall panels to move slightly within the profiles further adds to the ability of the wall to avoid cracking or potentially the need for using expansion joints on a long wall run.

A primary benefit of SureWalls' system is the exceptional sound attenuation it delivers from our standard installation. Until the advent of the Surewalls system, achieving an STC score in excess of 50 was impossible without taking other expensive sound attenuation measures in the wall construction. Our outside corner profile, PerfeCorner™, isn't just a souped-up version of an applied corner bead -- It is an engineered, prefabricated structural corner. It attaches directly to the corner stud to become part of the wall framing structure and our patented, diamond shaped impact zone delivers a perfectly straight, highly impact-resistant corner every time. Nothing can match it for aesthetics, durability and ease of finish.

Sustainable and Environmentally Safer
SureWalls' vinyl profiles are sustainable and safe, recyclable and Class A rated for flame spread and smoke. But perhaps the greatest environmental benefit of the SureWalls system will come from significant reductions in the airborne silica dust created on most drywall jobs due to excessive mudding, and subsequently, sanding of walls. With a SureWalls installation, there is almost no sanding of patched screw holes (because there are nearly none) and any significant sanding of joints likely will result from only the sloppiest use of joint compound. In our own tests, we finished the SureWalls joints and seams with almost no sanding required to achieve a high level finish.
