How It Works

Perfect for Most Applications - The SureWalls system utilizes 3 patented, rigid vinyl profiles to install drywall panels to any standard framing layout - wood or metal studs placed either 16" OC (on center) or 24" OC.  The profiles (outside corner, inside corner and middle seam) are screwed to the side of the stud with pan head screws placed every 16" along the stud length. Drywall panels then slide into a slot in the profile designed to snugly and firmly hold drywall along its entire length. Ideally installed in a vertical configuration, the system is easily adapted for horizontal drywall installation.

Efficient Customized Installation - For large commercial or residential jobs, the profiles can be made to custom lengths depending on the proscribed ceiling height, insuring that waste material is minimized. With the SureWalls system, the drywall panels once installed have completely airtight seams ready for easy finish coats of joint compound - no mudding and taping of joints necessary.  Using SureWalls, your walls should add 5 to 10 STC points higher sound attenuation than a wall installed the old-school way - a premium result at no added cost.

Finishing is A Breeze -  One coat of all-purpose joint compound and a finish coat of topping or light all-purpose joint compound is all that's required to achieve a Level 4 finish. There are very few screw holes to worry about finishing - as few as 4.  The outside and inside corner profiles are simply feathered out from the .9mm thickness of the profile edge - no tape required.  The critical middle seam (created where 2 tapered-edge panels meet) also is a breeze to finish since this profile was designed to lay perfectly within the shallow valley created where two tapered drywall edges meet. The profile lies just below the plane of the drywall surface (approx. 1mm) so that, with nothing more than a couple thin coats of compound, the joint disappears entirely giving you a perceptibly smooth surface along the entire wall length. Striations on the face of each profile create additional surface area for improved joint compound adhesion, minimizing cracking from stress and contraction/expansion. (In most cases, you should be ready for paint the very next day, cutting days from the job.)

A More Worry-Free Result - Concerns about sloppy or unskilled taping and mudding at the joints are eliminated, as are any concerns about straight lines and ultra-sturdy corners.  Simply running two thin coats of joint compound with a 10" mud knife over our profiles will result in perfectly finished, perceptibly smooth walls.  Even with low-skilled workers, including do-it-yourselfers, SureWalls delivers perfect joints and corners every time. The end result is a true "performance wall" that is quieter, more resilient, and far more free of potential finish defects.  (Start planning for significant budget savings on call backs you won't have.)
